After the success of the three generations of Kia Sorento models, the company is back with a new 4 generation, 2021 Kia Sorento. The all-new midsize SUV has a more sleek and sharp-edged styling with four available powertrains to gain the maximum value. ENGINE AND POWER
The all-new Kia Sorento similarly offers the new powertrain. It now comes with both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) and is now available with four powertrains. The base engine is the A 191-hp 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engine with an available 281-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and both come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The eco-friendly hybrid includes a mix of a turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder gas, and a 44-kW electric motor. Although, it will just be available in Front Wheel Drive. The company will also offer a plug-in-hybrid version and will have a turbocharged 1.6-liter, but a 66.9-kW electric motor available, in all-wheel-drive only.
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR
The 2021 Kia Sorento’s interior got designed in such a way that it complements its bold exterior well. The midsize SUV offers 12.6 cubic feet of cargo capacity, which can turn into 38.4 cubic feet when the third row is folded and has a seating capacity of 6-7 passengers.
The body has a bold and modern design with a hood edge wrapped around body sides in such a way that the car appears longer and wider. The infotainment system offers an 8-inch touchscreen, radio, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 6-speaker audio system, a wireless charging pad, and an available 12-speaker Bose sound system. All these features combine to the success of the new model.

The range of the new car will be 357.2 miles in the city and 488.8 miles on the highway. The fuel economy figures offered are, the 2.5l base engine will provide 27 mpg combined, and turbocharged 2.5l will earn a combined 25 mpg. The economy figures for hybrid provide 39 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway, and a combined 37 mpg.
