I am a 60 year old female and am appalled with the charges quoted by Porter Hyundai. It is laden with intent to scam. I feel violated as a senior citizen and woman that a business would attempt to operate using fear, as well as a person’s perceived lack of knowledge or expertise, in an attempt to rob the public without “the smoking gun”. If I could, I would sue for the fees they charged me, lost wages, emotional distress, and towing fees to my mechanic (Dover Auto Repair) as I was scared to drive my vehicle base on the quote given and the amount of repairs needed per Porter Hyundai. I was hesitant to send Porter Hyundai’s list of repairs to my mechanic because in business you typically you do not share quotes between vendors. However, Dover Auto Repair has been my mechanic for over 20 years and I felt they would give me a fair rate for the necessary charges understanding that sometimes “dealerships” such as Porter Hyundai can charge a little more or “diagnose” based on “industry” standards a lay person can live with. But this was different. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, please see the pictures below of the estimate from Porter Hyundai and Dover Auto charges. What do they say to you? It says “SCAM” to me. There should be a law against what was done to me. I hope your grandmother, mother, daughter, or sister is never treated this way… or anyone for that matter… Warning ⚠️ Beware ⚠️ SCAM ALERT

Both the sales department and service department have provided friendly, efficient service and left me feeling like a valued customer. Vehicle pricing was satisfactory and supplied 3 year maintenance is a bonus. I feel I received good value for the cost.

1. Terrible location, really hard to get in and out of. 2. Service manager needs to be educated in what service means; hint: it doesn't mean argue with the customer 3. Exceptionally poor communication, counter staff is almost unresponsive when you come through the door. I would not take my car here for anything except Hyundai warranty service, and if there were a dealer closer to me, I would go there instead. Note that this review does not apply to the body shop, those people are great!

Just bought a car about a month ago. The whole experience was fantastic. I had a bit of stress going in, but the process was made so simple by Mr. Forde! If your gonna by a car, atleast stop in and check with these people. Great experience!

My parents called Friday because the window switch motor burned out and the window was down.. This is December they were told they couldn't get an appointment until February ! They treat you good when your buying the vehicle after that the worst customer service I've come across in a long time

A employee driving a company owned car cut me off in traffic. She threw 2 full bottles of water at my car, screamed, and gave me the finger. Got to dealership and was screamed at and pushed around by Heather, who had nothing to do with it. Feel so disrespected and deceiver an apology. What kind of people work for you at Newark Hyundai. If i could give ZERO STARS i would. Their service team was so rude and disgusting they hung up the phone on me bc i was upset they couldnt get my car serviced for 3 months. When its having transmission issues and is still under warranty. I will never come here for service or to buy a car again. And i hope everyone sees this and does the same.
